MANTRA UNIVERSE — ELORA / ÈRE

Ère is a music and visual project I developed as a focused exploration of the larger Mantra universe.

Rather than trying to visualize the entire universe at once, Ère focuses on Elora — the Fourth Dimension — and the Elorians, one of the most technologically advanced civilizations within this world.

The project became an opportunity to explore what this part of Mantra could look like in greater detail: its people, their biology, the relationship between organic forms and advanced technology, and the visual language of a civilization where nature and technology have evolved as a single system.

Elorian technology is so advanced that in less developed worlds it could easily be perceived as magic.

The black-and-white works presented here are visual studies of an Elorian woman and an exploration of the design language of this world. I wanted them to feel somewhere between concept art, scientific illustration and an archival engraving — precise and detailed, but still intimate, strange and slightly mysterious.

The final artwork is the cover for Désir, the first single from Ère and the first public entry point into this branch of the Mantra universe.

Ère consists of 14 tracks built around a sensual, mysterious and cosmic atmosphere, with female vocals in French.
