⭐Memory of the Future⭐

Project Breakdown

This artwork was created using a hybrid workflow that combines traditional 3D production, digital painting, and AI-assisted detailing.

The process started with building a complete 3D scene. I posed the character using a 3D model, assembled the environment from multiple sci-fi building assets, set up the composition, camera, and lighting, and rendered the scene in multiple passes (character, environment, lighting, masks).

After rendering, the entire composition was rebuilt inside Photoshop. During this stage I redesigned large parts of the image:

created the cybernetic arm;
redesigned the character's outfit;
painted additional armor details;
created the vehicle;
designed and painted the combat robot;
expanded and repainted the futuristic city;
refined lighting, atmosphere, perspective, and composition.

Once the base painting was established, I moved into an iterative AI-assisted production stage.

Instead of generating a complete image, AI was used only for localized detailing. Every major element was processed separately through multiple iterations:

character;
vehicle;
environment;
architectural details;
materials and surface refinement.

Each AI pass was manually selected, corrected, overpainted, and composited back into the master Photoshop file.

The final artwork is therefore not an AI-generated image but the result of a hybrid production pipeline, where 3D provided the foundation, digital painting defined the artistic direction, and AI accelerated high-frequency detail generation while maintaining full artistic control over the final result.
